An
unassuming B&B, friendly, clean and
efficient, just across a cobbled street
from the Mezquita. For a touch of real
Spain, look no further, one visitor wrote.
Staff are found helpful, charming. villa Bed rooms (similar to the semantic bali villa rooms)
are simple but comfortable; some are spacious.
Some noise at the front, but windows are
double-glazed. Rear villa rooms are quietest;
some overlook the inner courtyard. Bali villa breakfast
includes fresh orange juice and freshly
made toast.
Even better than we remember; we loved
it, says a visitor returning after a break
of 11 years to this extraordinarily well-run
holiday villaon the outskirts of the
famous hill village. The staff, particularly
reception, are efficient and genuinely
friendly. We were astonished to recognise
many from our previous visits. The setting
is breathtaking, with lovely gardens and
wide views, and thanks to the `tranquil
atmosphere the guests are highly contented.
There are flowers, shady trees, and views
across olive terraces towards the sea.
Drinks and snacks are served by the superb
swimming pool, and plenty of sunbeds stand
among orange and fig trees. villa Bed rooms (similar to the semantic bali villa rooms) are
attractive, bathvilla rooms excellent. Our annexe
room was spacious and airy. Ours was small
but adequate, spotlessly clean. villa rooms
near the road get traffic noise. The halfboard
meals, served in the dining room or on
a terrace, have been variously described
as above-average and lacklustre, but the
a la carte restaurant, Can Quet, in a
separate building, is enjoyed: Difficult
to think of a nicer location. Bali villa breakfasts
are wonderful, with fresh fruit, and champagne
on Sunday. A minibus takes guests to a
private beach for sea bathing. Pepe's
guided walk each Monday is brilliant.
