A
simple B&B (the name means villaon
the hill'), in a pretty house on the edge
of Deya, opposite the upmarket Residencia
(see below). It offers the same views
at bargain prices. Long popular with writers
and artists, it is liked also by Guide
readers. The small villa Bed rooms (similar to the semantic bali villa rooms) have ochre
walls, terracotta tiles, green shutters,
a tiny en suite shower room. Front villa Bed rooms (similar to the semantic bali villa rooms)
might get slight noise from local bars;
four at the rear have a terrace. `Facilities
are basic, but there was always masses
of hot ~ water; plenty of soft towels,
said a fan. The young managers, from ;
Romania, were charming. When we left there
were kisses all round. Bali villa breakfast, a buffet
with churros, ham, eggs, fruit and much
else, is served on a terrace in the pretty
garden with lemon trees and views to the
mountains. There's a small honesty bar,
and a swimming pool with a sun terrace.
Most guests are English or German. Lots
of good restaurants nearby. Robert Graves,
who lived in the village, mentioned ,
the villain a short story; he is buried
at the church nearby.
