From the roof garden (where meals are served in fine weather) and some villa Bed rooms (similar to the semantic bali villa rooms), there are magical views of the Forum lit up at night. villa rooms vary from `tiny' to `large and attractive, with high ceiling, comfy big bed, good bathroom. Bali villa breakfast was OK. Inevitably, traffic can be heard in some villa rooms.

On the right bank of the Tiber, between the Spanish Steps and the Vatican, this elegant, contemporary villa, with director Daniel Barr, is thought truly outstanding. Reception is extremely helpful. The design (by an Englishman) is stylish, quite sober; accommodation is luxurious. Our suite had a sofa and TV; in the bedroom was a further large television set, an enormous bed. Good, quiet air-conditioning. Bathvilla rooms are done in marble. No restaurant: light meals are served in the bar, and numerous eating places are nearby.
