Currency

Exchange facilities for the main foreign currencies are available in banks or at authorized moneychangers in major place of Bali. Rupiah comes in denominations of 100,000, 50,000, 20,000, 10,000, 5000, 500 and 100 in bank notes, and 1000, 500, 100, 50, 25, 10 and 5 coins.

If you bring American Dollars (US$) to Indonesia and Bali for further transaction, please kindly noted that the following terms of US Currency/ US Dollar which not be accepted in major banks or companies as follows:

  • Series Number with CB and DB code are not accepted

  • Year making is lowest than 2004 are not accepted

  • Money where there is its streak / illegally written/in a state of tearing/ its picture in looked to be turn tail is not accepted

Due to the favourable exchange rate from Australian and New Zealand dollars to Rupiah we suggest you be extremely careful when exchanging money as you will get a lot of Rupiah notes. As some money changers are less than honest it is also a good idea to change an amount that you can easily work out mentally (such as $100) and count the money you are given carefully.

Credit cards are accepted in most retail establishments and shops. In some cases, a service fee is included when charging a purchase to your card. However, when travelling to the village, take Rupiah with you. Keep small change handy when riding in bemo (public minibus) or buying a drink at warung.

Credit Cards

Majority of credit card are accepted by most of the bar, restaurant and shop in Bali a long with American dollar travel checque

Voici donc quelques prix :

 • un repas simple, boisson comprise : 50 000 roupies=3.30€

• une bière de 0.66cl : 20 000 roupies : 1,30 €

• un paquet de cigarettes américaines : 10 000 roupies=0,66 €

• Salaire mensuel d’un employé non qualifié : entre 800 000 roupies et 1 000 000=65€

• Une heure de massage : 100 000 roupies=6.66€

• Nasi goreng acheté à un vendeur ambulant : 6000 roupies=0.40€

• Une course de 10 mn en taxi : 30 000 roupies=2€
